The icon is back! When Toyota decided to revive the Supra, car enthusiasts rejoiced! The new GR Supra is a thoroughbred track car mixed with a comfortable sports car. The result is a brilliant balance between a ton of power and high drivability, without sacrificing important safety or infotainment features.
Let us give you a tour of the 2021 GR Supra. We’ll walk you through powertrain specs, safety features, and connectivity tech. Take a look.
The 2021 GR Supra sports either a 2.0L turbo-four and a 3.0L turbo I6. The 2.0L turbo four-cylinder is found only on the Supra 2.0 model. It puts out 255 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque, doing 0-60 mph in less than five seconds. The 3.0L turbo inline-six is standard on the Supra 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91 Edition trims. It produces 382 horses and 368 lb-ft of torque, doing 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. No matter which 2021 GR Supra model you choose, it’ll have RWD and an eight-speed automatic with manual mode and paddle shifters. 2021 GR Supra models equipped with the 3.0L I6 also have an adaptive suspension and a limited-slip differential.
The 2021 GR Supra is as much as daily driver as it is a track car. As a result, each model has the Supra Command system. It’s comprised of an 8.8-inch infotainment screen controlled via a combination touchpad and knob control panel. There are other standard features as well, including a digital gauge cluster, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth, and a USB port. Other features are added on higher trims, such as Apple CarPlay, GPS-linked navigation, wireless device charging, an 8.8-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker stereo, and a premium 12-speaker stereo.
