Back at the 2015 North American Auto Show, the third-generation Toyota Tacoma was introduced to the world. Its stunning new design and improved specs & features promised it would be one of the best options in the midsize pickup truck segment for years to come, and that’s certainly been true in our opinion. This has been aided by the fact that Toyota continues to improve the vehicle year after year, introducing subtle changes and exciting upgrades year after year, including the 2020 Toyota Tacoma in Palatine IL.
The Tacoma TRD Pro Series, which is probably the most popular of the big three TRD Pro models, undergoes some updates of its own, including a new Unique Sequential LED Headlight, updates wheel and some new safety technologies. But on this page we want to focus on the standard trim levels.
Let’s start by highlighting some of the most exciting new features and improvements found in the new model. The driver’s seat had been improved to one that’s electronically power adjustable, while the multimedia system has been upgraded to include an 8” touchscreen and compatibility for technologies including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa. The grille and wheel designs have been redesigned on most trim levels as well, despite the recent total redesign. Finally, the new Panoramic View Monitor has been made standard on the Limited trim level.
Those are just the new features, there are plenty of old ones returning to give you a total package. The Tacoma is also one of the most diverse models on the lineup, offering a host of different trim levels segregated out by things such as cab size, bed length, transmission, drivetrain, et cetera. No matter what kind of truck you’re looking for, as long as it’s a midsize then the Tacoma can probably fit the bill.
