2020 Toyota Sequoia Palatine IL

For the new model year, the regular 2020 Toyota Sequoia in Palatine IL didn’t undergo too many changes. Of course, it is the first year the Sequoia will be offered with a TRD Pro trim level, so that’s pretty huge news. But the other trim levels didn’t see many changes or enhancements for 2020. That doesn’t make the vehicle any less exciting, though, as it’s still packed with impressive performance, capabilities and utility.

The Toyota Sequoia was first introduced in the year 2000 before entering its second and current generation in 2007. Although it has undergone plenty of changes through the years since then, it hasn’t had a full-blow overhaul or redesign. Perhaps one will come within the next few short years, but for now that’s just a testament to how great the traditional, full-size SUV is. It doesn’t necessarily need changes or enhancements because it already makes such a great option in its segment.

Specs & Features of the 2020 Sequoia

As we mentioned, the big news for the 2020 model year where the Sequoia is concerned is the addition of its first TRD Pro trim level. Last year it received its first trim level ever from Toyota Racing Development and it proved to be successful enough that it now joins the TRD Pro Series alongside the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra.

Although the other Sequoia trim levels didn’t undergo any updates, the SUV still has plenty to get excited about. It’s packed with great content inside and out, such as a display audio system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, reclining third-row seats, standard Toyota Safety Sense P, impressive towing capacities thanks to its 5.7L V8 engine and much more.

Speaking of that 5.7L V8 engine and its capacities, the Sequoia is capable of generating 381 horsepower regardless of trim level. That kind of power enables you to tow up to 7,400 pounds in a trailer or what have you in addition to the impressive amount of cargo volume. Behind the thire row seats is 18.9 cubic feet of cargo space, but you can open up a total of 120.1 cu. ft. by dropping the seats flat.
