It isn’t every year the Toyota TRD Pro Series undergoes changes, but they do receive a few updates here and there quite often. This year, the whole lineup underwent some pretty major and exciting improvements, like receiving 2.5” shocks that were designed by Fox to increase oil volume through the use of a piggyback reservoir, thus enabling the trucks to hold onto peak damping performance even throughout the most extreme treks.
The biggest of the three TRD Pro Series vehicles is of course the 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in Palatine IL. Not only the largest in side, it’s also the most capable and powerful of the three Pro Series members. If you’re looking for a powerful truck that also knows how to hit the roads that don’t exactly look like roads, then look no further than this outstanding version of the Tundra.
If the Fox Shocks aren’t enough to get you excited, you’ll be happy to hear that the Tundra TRD Pro has plenty of other new features and old returning old features that make it outstanding piece of machinery. For the first time, the Tundra adopts the Tacoma’s Rigid Industries LED fog lights in addition to its LED headlights and accent lights, which feature a black treatment that is unique from the other trucks.
The Tundra’s big update this year is the inclusion of a new hood scoop that not only adds style but function as well. The Tundra also benefits from a new, blacked-out TOYOTA grille and 18” BBS forged-aluminum satin black wheels, and a host of other design cue enhancements.
