We recently covered some of the specs & features offered by the 2020 Toyota Sienna, but we didn’t yet have all the information. Turns out, there were a few updates for the new model year, and chief among them was the addition of the newest Nightshade Edition trim level. Before we dive into what exactly the Sienna Nightshade Edition is, we thought we’d highlight the new features found in the 2020 Sienna. While none of them are actually new this year, what is new is that they have been standardized across the board on all trim levels. First and foremost, the Toyota Safety Sense P package is now standard on all grades. Why not Toyota Safety Sense 2.0? We imagine the next-generation package will be added to the Sienna when it enters its fourth generation, which we have a feeling could be coming anytime in the next couple of years considering generation three has been going on since 2011. Moving on, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa compatibility have also been made standard on even the base trim level, enhancing connectivity more than ever.
As for the special Nightshade Edition models, they aren’t actually trim levels but rather a package that can be added to the 2020 Sienna. If you decide to go with either the SE or SE Premium trim level, then you can opt for the Nightshade Edition package, which starts at a price of $700. It’s a design package that’s only available with a black interior and one of four exterior colors: Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic, Salsa Red Pearl and Super White. The package adds 19- or 18-inch black wheels and matching mirror caps, badging, door handles, a sport mesh front grille and a rear spoiler.
