New All-Electric Toyota Vehicle Revealed
Toyota has been at the forefront of automotive technology for a long time. For instance, they were the first to mass produce the hybrid in the form of the 1997 Prius. More recently, they’ve been adapting many of their vehicles into plug-in hybrids, like the Prius Prime and the RAV4 Prime. And now, they’re building an all-new battery-powered electric vehicle. And we here at Arlington Toyota in Palatine, IL, are very excited about it.
Does Toyota make an electric vehicle? Yes, they do. Meet the bZ4X.
All-New Toyota bZ4X Revealed
Introduced in mid-April 2021, the Toyota bZ4X is an all-electric battery-powered SUV. Unlike the Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrids, the bZ4X will not have a combustion engine. It will be completely powered by batteries. The bZ4X is one of seven new bZ models that Toyota will be revealing over the next few years. Those seven models will be almost half of the 15 new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) that Toyota will be producing by 2025. We don’t know much about the bZ4X yet, but Toyota has teamed up with Subaru to make sure the bZ4X has one of the best AWD systems available.
When Will It Be Available?
Toyota hasn’t revealed an official release date or timeline. However, they did say that they’d like to have the bZ4X available for purchase sometime in 2022. That means the bZ4X (or whatever model the bZ4X will become) will most likely be a 2023 model year vehicle.
