2018 Camry 2.5-Liter Four-Cylinder Engine
The Camry’s new 2.5-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine provides the sedan with high power output with smooth and refined handling. Peak horsepower is estimated at 206 with torque estimated at 186 pound-feet. Fuel economy is rated at an EPA-estimate of 29 city mpg and 41 highway mpg, a 26 percent improvement for combined mpg over the previous model.
2018 Camry 3.5-Liter V6 Engine
Like the Camry’s four-cylinder engine, the 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers higher power output and class-leading fuel efficiency. Power output is rated at 301 horsepower and a torque rating of 267 pound-feet. The V6 engine receives an EPA-estimated rating of 22 city mpg and 33 highway mpg, an increase of eight percent for combined mpg over the previous V6.
2018 Camry’s New Eight-Speed Automatic Transmission
Both the 2.5-liter four-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 are equipped with the new Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission that allows the driver to feel the direct and impressive acceleration capabilities of the engines. The transmission helps to deliver outstanding fuel economy and features a smooth yet quick-shifting capability.
